Position Summary
We’re looking for a creative and motivated Communications & Social Media Coordinator to join our team part-time. This role is responsible for managing content creation, scheduling, and engagement across our digital platforms, as well as overseeing newsletters and e-blasts. The right candidate will help ensure our mission and impact are shared with families, donors, and community partners in meaningful and engaging ways.
What You’ll Do

Develop engaging content (written, visual, and multimedia) for social media and newsletters.

Manage posting schedules to ensure consistent and timely communication.

Share relevant content from partners, sponsors, and collaborators.

Create and distribute newsletters and monthly e-blasts.

Track and analyze performance of campaigns to improve engagement.

Support fundraising campaigns and event promotions.

Maintain a consistent brand voice and storytelling style.

Collaborate with staff to capture stories, photos, and program updates.

Assist with media outreach, website updates, and press releases.

Mentor PR/social media interns as needed.
Job Details

Schedule: Part-Time (flexible, approx. 15–20 hours per week)

Location: Hybrid (Anaheim, CA office with some remote work options)

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience
What We’re Looking For
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.

Hands-on experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).

Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools.

Basic photography/videography skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Bilingual skills a plus (but not required).

Previous nonprofit communications or fundraising experience is a plus.
